A Crazy Night in Verbier

The concert on 31 July is shaping up to be an unforgettable night. To celebrate the fortieth birthday of the great violinist Vadim Repin, the talented Aleksey Igudesman has planned this evening with great care, imagination and a healthy dose of humour. On this crazy night, you will find yourself getting carried away by Repin and supporting artists such as Julian Rachlin and Roby Lakatos, the incredible gypsy violinist. And for the sceptics amongst you, you may well be surprised as the magic will even extend to the members of the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra, who promise to perform a few dance steps...

2011 Edison Classical Music Awards

The Edison Classical Music Awards are a collection of awards given annually to honor the best of the year's classical music recordings in eleven categories. The award is issued from Amsterdam, Netherlands. This year Vadim Repin and Nikolai Lugansky were the winners in the chamber music category for their Violin Sonatas album.

2011 BBC Music Magazine Chamber Award to Repin and Lugansky
