Vadim Repin Takes Prestigious French Prize

Vadim Repin has won the most prestigious French music award 
 "Les Victoires de la Musique Classique (Victories in Classical Music)".
On 8th February, 2010 in Montpellier, Repin has been awarded
the highest nomination, Victoire d'Honneur (the Victory of Honour). Earlier among its winners were the singers Montserrat Caballé and Teresa Berganza, the pianist Evgeny Kissin, and the violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter.

Winter Festival Arts Square 2009

The 10th International Winter Festival "Arts Square" was held in St. Petersburg, Russia, from 14-25 December, 2009.
This year the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Maestro Yuri Temirkanov performed pieces from Sergei Prokofiev. Vadim Repin was the solist of Prokofiev Violin Concerto No. 2 at the Grand Hall of the Philharmonia on 24th December.

Special concert in Novosibirsk in October, 2009

Vadim Repin performed in a special concert in his home town Novosibirsk at the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre on October 18, 2009. The evening was dedicated to the great conductor Arnold Katz, who had established and led the Novosibirsk Academic Symphony Orchestra since 1956, and deceased in 2007. Repin played Tchaikovsky Concerto with the orchestra conducted by Teodor Korentzis. Repin's first CD of this concerto was recorded with the same orchestra under Arnold Katz in 1985, when he was 14.

Repin joined Lang Lang's debut chamber music CD

Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninov Trios by Lang Lang/Repin/Maisky

Deutsche Gramophon released pianist Lang Lang's first ever chamber music CD - Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninov Trios, joined by two giants of the violin and cello: Vadim Repin and Mischa Maisky.
They performed the same pieces in a live concert in Verbier on July 21, 2009. The album was released on October 9th (Worldwide), and on 20th  (USA).

1) Rachmaninov: Trio élégiaque No.1 in G minor for Piano, Violin and Cello
2) Tchaikovsky: Piano Trio in A minor, Op.50
